Dr. Sami W. Kabbara

 

Sami W. Kabbara, M.D. is a board certified retina specialist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology from University of California Irvine, where he graduated with summa cum laude and Excellence in Research. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Arizona, College of Medicine - Phoenix and his residency in Ophthalmology from  Tulane University, where he also received the Award of Excellence. Dr. Kabbara then completed a two year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the prestigious University of Texas, Southwestern training alongside world renowned retina specialists.

Dr. Kabbara has authored several book chapters, papers in peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals and delivered presentations on topics ranging from macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and endogenous eye infections to ophthalmic imaging and global ophthalmology. He also has special interest in global mission work and has participated in numerous mission trips. He specializes in medical and surgical management of various eye and retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment and many others. Dr. Kabbara is currently accepting new patients.
